Teak Sealer Trials UPDATE

Wessex continues to test a few different Teak Sealer samples over the winter months and has some new tests underway. We hope to have conclusive evidence in the summer months on their performance over the course of winter and summer. We hope one of the samples will be the definitive one and look to launch it end of the summer or the next winter (2012).

We try to give the lowest delivery costs we can to all of our customers. All products are liquids, and therefore fragile goods. We have managed to lower some of our delivery costs recently, and pass those savings onto you, the customer.
Calculations are based on how much you spend (based on the prices on our website) and the total weight of the goods ordered:
Spend between £0.01 - £15.00 = £7.00 postage and packaging
£15.01 - £20.00 = £7.50 p&p
£20.01 - £110.00 = £9.50 p&p
£110.01 - £220.00 = £16.00 p&p
£220.01 - and upwards = £22.00 p&p
Prices above are for mainland UK only. This does not include Northern Scotland (Highlands). Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Please contact us for a quote on these areas or contact one of our distributors.
As a guide, 1 Litre of Part 1 Teak Cleaner & Part 2 Teak Renovator will cost £7.00 delivery. A 5 Litre of both Teak Cleaner & Teak Renovator will cost £9.50 delivery. All prices will have VAT added when purchasing through Paypal.
Teak Sealer trials underway!

Our latest batch of Wessex Teak Sealer samples are now being tested in the UK. We will be trialling them over the next few months, so they get a good dose of summer and winter weather.
We are hoping they offer excellent UV resistance and general protection that lasts for months. We are aiming to launch the product in the new year 2012 (before the spring) when everyone starts cleaning for the summer.
The Wessex Teak Sealer will be suitable for boat decks (will not effect the non-slip properties of teak decks) and indoor/outdoor furniture. It will be especially useful for teak that lives outdoors (subjected to UV and weathering) and will mean that you can preserve your new or cleaned teak look, for longer.
Wessex will finally have a 3 part process to give your weathered and worn teak an amazing makeover.

There is a great post on how to use our 2 part product on the YBW forum. It is quite a few years old but the instructions remain the same.
We have changed the colours since then. The Part 1 Teak Cleaner is now red in colour and the Part 2 Teak Renovator is now a darker green. We did this because the old colour dye used to fade in sunlight. Now the dye is UV resistant (the post touches on this issue).
It’s pretty extensive but perhaps worth a read if you want advice from a neutral party.
